I will be appearing at the following venues to do readings, signings, or both on behalf of my recently published humor collection, It’s Funny Until Someone Loses an Eye (Then It’s Really Funny).
4/19-4/22: Untitled Town Book and Author Festival, Green Bay, WI. I will definitely be part of this big literary event this year, they just haven’t confirmed in what capacity yet. I pitched them on doing a craft talk called “How to Write for the Onion,” and also volunteered to take part in panels on “Poetry in a Postmodern World,” “Advice from Published Authors,” and “Why We Take What We Take and How to Get Noticed” (about how editors select what they publish). Whatever I do, I will be there selling and signing books too.
5/26: Rolling Out Cafe, 1722 Taraval Street, San Francisco, CA. The monthly group known as Rolling Writers is run by author and Big Jewel contributor Jon Sindell, who hosts regular themed readings, this one all about humor. Jon will also be taking part in this Saturday, May 26 reading, starting at 6 p.m., along with fellow funny man and Big Jewel contributor James Warner, Lita Kurth, Daniel Ari and Clyde Always. With this lineup the evening is guaranteed to be a lot of fun.
